Corbett vs. Dempsey is proud to release And Yeah So (1981-1985), the first ever compilation by Splat! Emerging amid the primo froth of the British post-punk era, Splat!'s lineup included vocalist Dave Parsons, the mastermind behind Ron Johnson Records. The band released its only 7-inch single as the label's maiden record, going on to follow up with a 12-inch EP. These (plus one track on a compilation) were the sum total official output, but the band was active and made loads of fantastic, high-octane, often hilarious and off-kilter recordings, the best of which are collected here, together with their full discography, and made available on CD for the first time. Nineteen tracks that give truth to the title "Jugular Blowjob," a heavy heap of blessed mess that kicks the whole comp off.

  1. Jugular Blowjob (3:56)
  2. The Sleaze (3:17)
  3. Fatal (The Fire-Eater's Promise) (4:07)
  4. The Circumstance (2:40)
  5. Morbius III (4:32)
  6. Fat Art Zero (10:12)
  7. ChchchchchchChow (1:33)
  8. Yeah the Dum Dum (2:37)
  9. Bookface (3:03)
  10. Biggles Bloodbath (6:12)
  11. Taxi (3:44)
  12. Bloom (3:50)
  13. A Foolish Crawl (4:00)
  14. Morbius 4 (6:13)
  15. Eve (2:29)
  16. And Yeah So (4:06)
  17. Yeah the Dum Dum (demo) (2:35)
  18. Bookface (alternate version) (3:44)
  19. Biggles Bloodbath (alternate version) (6:32)

From the Splat! diary:

Wednesday 20 July 1983: Single played for third time on Peel. Dave phoned him and he announced the Asylum and Birdhouse gigs, Dave’s address and said “that’s my kind of band”! Dave got another phone number from him and arranged to see him on Monday…

Mastered for CD by Michael and Jason at Shambotic. Design by David Khan-Giordano. CD produced by John Corbett and Dave Parsons.
