In the West Wing, CvsD is delighted to present five new paintings by the Albanian-born, New York-based painter Lui Shtini.

With an uncanny sense for the play of textures, color, and form, Shtini makes odd and surprising portraits. Spiritually connected to Imagists like Christina Ramberg and Barbara Rossi, Shtini’s works are potentially alien and allusively sexual, with an underlying tenderness that belies their immaculate construction
