In the Vault, as part of the current 20th anniversary exhibition Hubcap Diamond Star Halo, Corbett vs. Dempsey presents Spaceways, a short film from 1968 by Edward English featuring Sun Ra and his Arkestra.

Commissioned by ESP Records, shot in New York during the Arkestra's rehearsal for and performance at Carnegie Hall, with classic Ra statements and a fiery drum-saturated version of the band, Spaceways is a rarely seen entry in the extensive Sun Ra filmography.  Underground filmmaker Edward English (1938-2022) made a few other short movies focused on ESP artists, including the Fugs and Giuseppi Logan.

CvsD is proud to represent the non-musical aspects of the Sun Ra Estate, and the gallery has recently issued The Berkeley Lecture, 1971, a previously unheard recording from the course Ra taught at University of California, Berkeley, titled "The Black Man in the Cosmos."
