In the West Wing, Corbett vs. Dempsey presents new works by Chicago-based artist Alex Chitty. Using a portable scanner to bend image, color and light, with subtle photographic manipulations of elements in nature, Chitty offers skillfully precise cut paper sculptures and photo-drawings—ethereal, gestural works shaped around the sensory impression of an object no longer present.
