On the occasion of Rosa Barba's first Chicago exhibition, Poised Compression, CvsD is pleased to welcome the Berlin-based artist for a conversation with John Corbett.  A free-range discussion will touch on Barba's emergence and important early institutional installation works, her engagement in the artistic disruption of our screen-based episteme, her manifesto-like book On the Anarchic Organization of Cinematic Spaces: Evoking Spaces Beyond Cinema, her celebrated fifteen-year survey The Ocean of One's Pause currently on view at MoMA, and her multifaceted approach to sculpture, music and filmmaking.
