Chris Corsano, solo drums. This event is part of our programming for the exhibition Hubcap Diamond Star Halo: Corbett vs. Dempsey at Twenty.

Directly following the discussion, Chris Corsano – newly transplanted to Chicago – will perform a solo drum concert. Corsano, who is one of the finest improvisors in the business and has proven his hyper-adaptability, has worked with everyone of note, from Björk and Bill Orcutt to Mette Rasmussen and Joe McPhee. Among his many records, The Key (Became the Important Thing [and Just Then Faded Away]), is a newly released solo outing on Drag City on which Corsano plays a wide array of instruments as well as drum-set.
